Jessica Rodrigues, a grad student from the Zilberman lab, published her Thesis work "Imprinted expression of genes and small RNA is associated with localized hypomethylation of the maternal genome in rice endosperm" in Proceedings of the National Academy of sciences. Her paper, which is a result of collaboration between the Zilberman and Fischer Labs, describes her work characterising the allelic expression of small RNAs in rice seeds: Rodrigues et al., 2013.
